Finally a pratical way to access your recipes with the help of your computer. Instead of tediously entering all the recipes from your cook books, you simply create a computerized index that leads you to the book and page number that the recipe is in. Simple and functional...if you have more than 3 or 4 cook books it's a real time saver.
Need to find that delicious "Chili and Maggot Meatloaf Delight" you made for your mother-in-law 6 years ago...no problem. Click "Find" and enter "chili maggot meatloaf" and BINGO, you find the cook book and the page number to turn to.
You look in your refrigerator and discover that you have a can of Spam, a head of cabbage and some cheese whiz. What can you make for supper with that? No problem! Click "Find" and enter "spam cabbage whiz main course" and BINGO, you find that you have a recipe for Hungarian Enchiladas that requires those very ingredients. (and of course it also tells you the book and the page number)
TIPS:
• The find button searches all the text on a card including the catagories you have selected • If the recipe title has some ingredients in it, there is no need to enter them again in the keywords • You can use the "Enter" key instead of the "New Card" button • When a new card is created it automatically copies the catagory and book title from the previous entry • HypeRecipe tries to help you from entering blank cards by asking if it's all right to delete any blank cards that you enter • The menubar is hidden, everything you need to be able to do is provided with buttons
